For my double page spread, I have decided to use the same model off my front cover. I have conducted a range of photo shoots to help me decide which image is best. A few examples are the images below. As you can see I tried a range of shots including different angles and I also experimented with where the model was looking.

Here are double page spreads which use interviews as the main text. I used these conventions such as the colour code for the interviewer and the artist.
Here is my finished contents page. Below are very similar conventions I have followed from the Billboards contents. I created my own features in the magazine. For example, in the 'Events' section, I created my own festival. This was not on any of the Billboard conventions, however I thought it was important for my magazine to still apply to the target audience of older teenage females.
Once I finished using Photoshop, I used In-Design in order to apply my fonts and finish my front cover. I used the font 'Fingbanger' which was chosen by 60% of my target audience in a questionnaire. I kept it very simple and changed an aspect of it from the draft. Such as, I did not include any other articles, this was mainly because I decided to follow similar conventions to one of the Billboard magazines I desire. The simple-look, gives the front cover a polished, professional view.
Here are a selection of photos for my contents page from which I have followed the photo shoot plan I did.
Here is some of the feedback I got from peers in my class. Overall, the feedback was very good such as- the front facing shot engages the audience and the blue gradient background is very similar to the convention I followed. This allowed me to apply text to my construction and finish the product as no changes were needed.
I have now chosen an image for my front cover, once this was decided, I started using Photoshop. I used the spot removing tool to remove a few blemishes yet there were not too many. I did this in order to make my magazine look appealing and make my front cover look impeccable.
I decided to create my background layer. I made a new layer and made a new colour gradient. I tried my best to make it seem similar to one magazine convention which I liked which I will place below. The colour gradient is a slightly lighter blue with a darker blue/teal colour. When I gained my feedback from my target audience in my questionnaire, they decided that the blue colour scheme would look appropriate. I then decided to add an effect which gave a lighting effect on the image called 'hard light'. This made the image blend more with my background. Once I did that, I adjusted the exposure to make my image slightly brighter and give a more artificial, professional lighting look. Above on the left is my finished image.
Here are a range of photographs I have taken for my front cover magazine on different occasions. I tried to follow similar conventions of Billboard magazines and also followed my target research results of 80%, chose a female model.
